Etna

The majestic Etna volcano overlooks the eastern side of Sicily. It is the highest volcano in Europe (approx.3326 meters) and one of most active of the world; since 2013 is listed in UNESCO World Heritage.

In Etna natural park you’ll be astonished by the variety and the beauty of its landscapes. From the bottom of the mountain climbing up to the top, you will run into vineyard, dense woods, spartan wasteland of historic lava flows and volcanic ash. Furthermore, Etna top is covered with snow most of the year.

By visiting Etna Volcano you will explore slopes and lava flows; you’ll pass through small, delightful little towns before to reach one of the tourist stations at 1,800-1,900 meters. From the tourist station you can climb up to 2,900 meters by cable car and 4×4 vehicles.

If you are interested in food & wine, stop for a light-lunch in a winery/farmhouse; alternatively, choose a specific tour designed to taste Etna wines and local products, and enjoy your high altitude meal!
